44th Parallel Cross Country Camp is held in the heart of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Emphasis for the camp will be placed on learning how to live the life of a Cross Country Runner! You will be enticed each morning with runs of various distances that will challenge your ability to break free from gravity...yes, each run includes a "slight incline". You will bond with other runners who will share in your joys and difficulties that are attributed to living the life "of a Cross Country Runner". You’ll be treated to 3-Square meals a day that are prepared with the athlete in mind. Everyone will participate in our annual Beach Volleyball Tournament with bragging rights going to the victors. If you choose, you may also enjoy a leisurely paddle down the Crystal River on a solo or tandem kayak. Evenings are peaceful "Up North" and include a special smaller run, a standing reservation for some of the most spectacular sunsets anywhere in the world, and our traditional stop at Anderson’s IGA for late-night snacks or an early morning boost.
